About
I am a lifelong musician with experience singing in choirs, musicals, bands, and my own solo projects. In recent years, I have also created an audiobook with an original musical score, played synth in a Cars cover band, and been a member of several indie rock groups including Sloane Bayley and Pareidolia. I am also currently enrolled in an ongoing acting class and am auditioning for onscreen and voiceover roles in local productions.
I've been teaching private voice lessons and leading workshops since 2014, after a year of apprenticeship under master teacher Linda Brice, founder of Transformational Voice. I also direct shows and teach voice and keyboard to students ages 6-17 at Portland School of Rock.
My own voice is continually evolving, Using the same techniques I began learning in 2012, I am still experiencing an increased strength throughout my range, an ability to diversify my singing style, and an ever deepening relationship with my own voice. If for some reason my singing feels 'off' on a certain day, I can fall back on my rich knowledge of technique and the physiology of vocalization to get my singing back on track, and strengthen my mind-body relationship in the process. This confidence and trust in the power of your voice and the connection between mind and body is what I want for all of my students.
I look forward to working with you!
